THE FOCUS OF THIS WEBITE is to recognize each immigrant and pioneer ancestor and bring them back to life through the research that has been done on them, especially of finding where they have come from. It has been a journey with forty years of research thus far. But, research is still needed on some of our pioneer ancestors due to scarce records in that time period.

OUR FAVORITE IMMIGRANT ANCESTOR is Johann Caspar Esphorst born in 1824, he is pictured here with his wife and 1st child. The picture dates back to ca. 1864. The picture was obtained from the Esphorst family in Mastholte, Rietberg, Westphalia, Germany in 1997 after sending a letter to a Franz Esphorst that had been dead since 1944. The letter and picture was sent by his spinster daughters that were born in the 1910's. This letter verified our connection to this family.
